Tonight I got to experience the Manhattan Project at the Presidio Social Club.
The Project is described as "the search for the ultimate Manhattan whiskey, bitters & vermouth change weekly, or on our bartender’s whim". Tonight's cocktail was made with Templeton Rye, Dolin Vermouth and these amazing Fee Brother Old Fashioned Bitters.
This is literally Christmas in a bottle. It has a strong holiday spice note (cinnamon, clove etc.) with sweet undertones. They really make the difference in a Manhattan as they complement the vermouth and fruit notes from the Luxardo cherry. I think I found my new go-to bitters in the bar...
