the 'unforgettable cheeseburger' by Yanni

Stopped off to check out Yanni's Sausages in Penngrove after an enthusiastic recco from our neighbors Paul + Carol. This place specializes in sausages (duh!) but I went for the Unforgettable Cheeseburger instead. I figured Diddy ordered the gyros sausage (house specialty) and we were already buying some Italian links to grill at home, I'd have plenty of chances to try their sausages.

I had to convince John (the owner + cook) to make one of these for me. He made a hard sell on the sausages until he said since it was slow, he had time (and grill space) to make one. In my mind, I was shouting, "Just make the Unforgettable Cheeseburger already John!"

He made it. And this is what I got-

Underneath the crispy cheese flying saucer was the burger. Overall there was nothing special about the burger. And there was a LOT of cheese to share. That crispy cheese flying saucer was no less than 10" in diameter. It's impressive looking for sure.
