To celebrate Erica's birthday last night, I took her to Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern. This is my absolute favorite restaurant at the moment. His fried chicken is flawless. The TCHO chocolate cream pie is divine. Hands down, the 2 things I always get and recommend to people dining for their first time.
For Erica's celebration we started off with the oxtail poutine and fried oysters with cauliflower tartar sauce (genius). Fried chicken for our entrees (yes we each had our own order with leftovers to-go!) and collard pea tendrils (perfect combination of smoky, savory, tart and spicy). And for dessert, we shared the TCHO chocolate pie (I dream about this dessert item often!). An excellent meal always. Tyler has never let me down. If you haven't been yet...GO NOW! In fact, I'm headed back there tonight for dinner with out of town guests- YAY!
