This is just simply one of the most amazeball cakes around. The Coffee Crunch Cake by Yasucochi's Sweet Stop in Japantown is knock-off of the original made famous by Blum's in downtown San Francisco. Layers of vanilla chiffon cake filled with coffee cream and covered in coffee honeycomb candy. Really spectacular! I grew up on a version of this cake still made by Eastern Bakery in Chinatown, but this one has the best ever candy topping! Rumor on the street is Mr Yasucochi is getting to retire soon, so best head over to his shop and grab a slice... or a cake!
