Last year there was all this hype from Frito Lay to vote for your favorite flavor: Siracha, Chicken + Waffles, Garlic Cheese Bread. I searched everywhere for them to no avail. Surprisingly, I found all 3 flavors at Walgreens earlier this week. I had to check the bags to make sure it wasn't old inventory. Sure enough, it was new product. I grabbed a bag of the Chicken + Waffles flavor. I'm a big fan of the real dish and classic Lays Potato Chips. This could be a horribly wrong or completely tasty snack food. I'm not a big fan of maple anything so I was reluctant to try these
chips after learning they had maple flavoring in them. I'm also not a
fan of mixing my sweet and savory together. I heard from friends who got

After gobbling my first chips, I can say they are indeed TASTY! The flavors just work. It's not heavy on the maple or sweet. There's an essence of fried chicken seasoning. And the oil from frying the chip just reinforces the fried chicken flavor. The chips are not over seasoned (like a Dorito) so you don't end up with a fingers covered in flavor dust. Overall, I like it!
