One of my favorite ways to use up Thanksgiving day leftovers is to make pasties.... er patties. I think technically these are patties but my friend called them pasties when I asked about what he did with his big day's leftovers.
I'm actually a little grossed out about the combination of all my food into a patty- cuz I am never one to mix all my food on a plate together. Never did it as a child. And not as an adult.
Basically, you take some cut up turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, creamed/cheesed veggie and a little dollop or 2 of gravy. Mix this mess all together and form patties. Coat the patties in panko and fry them up in a hot cast iron skillet. Serve with or without extra gravy on the side.
The final product? Thanksgiving deliciousness part 2. Enjoy!
These have become a tradition in Wellville. Provided we haven't eaten/given away all the leftover turkey!
